Name of the protocol: Single Contrast upper gastrointestinal (UGI) series

Indication: Various indications may elicit an UGI examination in infants and newborns. Indications are not limited to but may include abdominal distention, emesis, bilious emesis, choking, difficulty swallowing and others.

Purpose: To define the anatomy of the upper gastrointestinal system, and to look for pathology leading to difficulty feeding or acute pathologies.
